I remember that a piton pulled out and hit me in the face resulting in a 30 foot fall. This was my first year teaching there and I climbed at every opportunity. ‘Didn’t even take time to shave or cut my hair …apparently. Climbers will note the racked chocks and pitons. This was before modern camming devices. |
