An overhanging hand crack leading out to the lip of a 30′ roof, 800′ off the deck.   If you stop to place pro you tend to cramp and tire which makes a fall more likely but less severe.  If you don’t stop to place pro your strength is preserved and a fall is less likely but potentially disastrous.  Not an uncommon dilemma.
