In the 90’s we’d spend a month or so each summer climbing in the Teton and Wind River Ranges in Wyoming. There was an active acoustic music scene in Jackson and if my hands weren’t too mangled up from the rock I’d sometimes go into town and play at various venues. Sometimes things were taped. I never thought much about it until we recently learned that a local Folk group was digitizing some of the old recordings. So, we found these three and a couple others.   We had a single mic for both the vocal and guitar so balance was a problem, and the sound quality could be better. Also, the singing (?) sounds much better if you lower your standards.

Dornan’s is at the entrance to Grand Teton National Park.  From the stage you could look directly across the room and out through large picture windows at the Grand Teton several miles away. “Vaseline Machine Gun” (Leo Kottke)
